Many Indian students have resorted to studying MBBS in Ukraine owing to the easy availability of medical seats in the country and the hassle-free admission process. The fees for studying MBBS in Ukraine is less compared to a private medical college seat in India. The duration of MBBS in Ukraine is of 6 years in total and encompasses five years of classroom training and one year of internship. We will discuss some important documents that are required to be kept ready by the aspirant before flying to study MBBS in Ukraine.

Documents required to apply online:

  • standard mark sheet – scanned copy and original

  • Secondary school leaving certificate

  • Copy of the passport

  • NEET examination scorecard.

  • Invitation letter for admission from the respective Medical university.

  • HIV test reports

  • Authorization of all documents and archives by the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.

  • All documents should be legalized and authorized by the Ukrainian Embassy

  • Some universities require bank receipt of 1st-year tuition fee payment.

The admission process:

  • First, the student has to apply for any of the Ukrainian medical colleges through credible agencies like the MD house in India.

  • The university will first accept the application of the student and then issues the letter of confirmation for admission.

  • It is worth remembering that there is global competition to study MBBS in Ukraine, and it is important to apply for the medical seat at the earliest, as admissions are based on the first-come-first-served basis.

  • After the university confirms admission, it is mandatory to pay the tuition fee for the first year. The Ukrainian universities accept online fee payment and the fees can be paid in the direct account of the university.

  • After paying the fees, the student has to apply for Visa, which again takes some processing time from the side of the Ukrainian Embassy. The call letter from the university is a must to apply for Visa.

Eligibility requirements to pursue MBBS in Ukraine:

To apply for MBBS in Ukraine, it is important for the candidate to have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB subjects in the 12th standard or its equivalent examinations. The candidate should have completed at least 17 years of age at the time of admission

As per the notification of the Medical council of India in agreement with the decision of Delhi High Court recently, it is stated that student who wish to pursue MBBS from any foreign medical university and has not registered for NEET examination, should produce the Eligibility certificate issued by the Medical Council of India at the time of admission to the foreign medical university.

It is important for the candidate to produce all the needed mark statements and documents in original at the time of admission which will later be returned for Visa processing.

Verdict:

Each year, the Medical Council of India issues the list of approved colleges and universities that are best to study MBBS in Ukraine. Indian students have 100 MBBS seats reserved in Ukraine by the MCI. It is important that students choose credible universities before taking admission and keep all the needed documents handy to ease out the admission process.
